Outdoor Project: Girl Scouts Troop House Maintenance/Clean-up
If you are a “fixer-upper” kind of person a “cleaning fanatic” or like to do yard work, this is the project for you. This year the troop house needs some flower beds cleaned, kitchen cabinets prepped and painted, porch, repaired. The surrounding property needs some general maintenance including cleaning leaves, dirt, and small brush. The troop house is at 1720 W. Admiral Blvd., just a few miles from the OSU-CHS campus. Volunteers arrive by 9 a.m. and work until approximately mid- to late-afternoon. Lunch is provided by Girl Scouts.
Indoor Project: Lunch for Reaching Hands Elderly Clients
Help host lunch for senior women clients of Reaching Hands agency. This is a special occasion for many of these women that they look forward to each year. It’s all about pampering them. We give them manicures, serve them lunch, visit with them and play several rounds of bingo. The lunch takes place in Founders Hall. The event concludes around 3 p.m.
