Campus renovations looking good

sculpture

The main campus is undergoing renovations this summer.

The sycamore tree at the east entrance of OSU-CHS will be transformed into Pistol Pete, thanks to the magic of well-known Tulsa chain saw sculptor Clayton Coss.

Planting beds will dot the entrance and add seasonal color. Other renovations now being completed include:

  • Affinity fountain refinished and a new pump installed
  • New pavers (east, north and Dunlap entrances)
  • Seasonal flower beds with a sprinkler system at the east entrance
  • New lighting and new outdoor furniture, east entrance

On the ground floor, the fitness center is scheduled for completion in August and will house top-of-the-line fitness equipment, showers (four each for men and women), restrooms and lockers.  The student locker room moves to the ground floor next to the fitness center.

Renovations to first floor include new carpet throughout and new tile, fixtures and plumbing in the bathrooms. New paint will be applied in some first floor areas.

Staff Appreciation Day: Aloha, y’all

Beth Freeman

Soggy weather didn’t dampen spirits inside Founders Hall as Cowboys donned leis and luau-ed with “Elvis” emcee Ryan Miller at the annual staff appreciation day June 1.

DJ’s cranked up the tunes and staff enjoyed Polynesian fare, line dancing, karaoke, games, a movie and OSU Pride Works polo shirts compliments of human resources.

Beth Freeman takes time for fun at staff appreciation day.
