SAC elects officers, recognizes service
Chad Landgraf has been re-elected president of the OSU-CHS Staff Advisory Council and Dennis Adams is re-elected vice-president. Dallis Graham is secretary and Vicky Pace is treasurer. Landgraf presented certifications of appreciation for service to committee chairs Dora Johnson, Adams, Austin McCoy, Sandra Hale, Briá Taylor, Sarah Quinten, Rebecca Nida and Reneé Williams. Plaques went to Adams, Hale and Cathy Ramsey. Hale also was thanked for her service during a transition time for the president and the leave of absence of the treasurer.
Forensic evidence holds up
Forensic sciences students presented evidence from a recent mock crime scene at a moot court with law students at the University of Tulsa. Did the evidence hold up? Robert Allen, Ph.D., professor and chair of forensic sciences, says it did, adding the mock trial went very well, with accolades from the judge presiding on the preparation and delivery of questions and testimony by both the forensics students and the law students.

Grogg, D.O., professor of pediatrics and interim dean/president, was interviewed in a Tulsa World article about the H1N1 flu vaccine and pregnancy. Harriet Shaw, D.O., clinical professor of osteopathic manipulative medicine, was interviewed for a Tulsa World article on the health benefits of locally produced honey.
